The American Association of University Women (AAUW) is a national organization that promotes equality for all women and girls, lifelong education, and positive societal change. Our commitment to these issues is reflected in our activism.
Our branch has approximately 195 members. We meet regularly as a group for programs of common interest and also in smaller interest groups. Many lifelong friendships are forged through the activities of the branch. Some of our activities include raising funds for the Association’s philanthropic arm, the Educational Opportunities Fund and the Legal Advocacy Fund (LAF).
The Educational Opportunities Fund (formerly Educational Foundation) supports women in their educational pursuits through the Educational Opportunities Fund. It is the largest independent source of fellowships and grants for women.
LAF provides funds and a support system for women seeking judicial redress for sex discrimination in higher education.
